Live Nation and Ticketmaster merger
Two of the top ticket selling companies are considering a merger. Live Nation has been rapidly expanding around the globe over the past two years securing ticket deals at major concert venues. Ticketmaster for its part has been dominate for years and up until the end of 2008 had an agreement to run tickets for Live Nation concert facilities. So would a merger between the two mean higher ticket prices for you and your family? We believe it would not. It would basically be the continuation of the ticket selling agreement the two companies had until the end of 2008. Of course the combined company would be dominate and the biggest ticket selling operation in the country. But prices should remain competitive for concerts and entertainment events.
